PermaStrip Restraint Goal
To integrate aggregate / mulch and restraint into a unified installation, providing a long-term, visually aesthetic and easily maintainable edge.

*Application Overview

• Trench is dug 1” deeper than required for edging. PermaStrip is installed _” – 3/4” above finish grade.
• PermaStrip is anchored in place using 12” aluminum stakes 24” – 36” on center.
• Aggregate material is laid and compacted to desired depth.
• Semi-compact backfill material adjacent to the completed installation providing additional support.

PermaStrip Application :
We recommend PermaStrip for this application. The “L” shaped “V” notched design allows curves and straight runs to be easily installed. PermaStrip’s “L” shaped design allows the aggregate to be compacted over the base. This combination creates an integrated installation between the PermaStrip restraint and the aggregate.

Application Note:
PermaStrip (3-_”) is ideal for a 3” – 4” aggregate installations.
For installation 3” or less, consider AsphaltEdge (CAD – AE6), or StructurEdge 2-1/4” options.
For deeper applications, consider CleanLine 5-_” (CAD – CL1).

Note: PermaStrip is available in

• 8’ sections with our “V” notched base design allowing gentle curves and straight runs or
• 16’ sections with a solid base for only straight runs (ideally for projects in excess of 400’ +).
• For smaller applications, freight cost may be a factor allowing more cost effective use of 8’ sections.

Anchoring

• 16’ sections – (8) 12” aluminum stakes included with each section.
• 8’ sections – (3) 12” aluminum stakes included with each section.
• Spacing approx 24” – 36” on center depending on section length.
• Optional 18” stakes available.
