ONYX INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Onyx Landscape Edging installs quickly and easily in 4 simple steps.

  1. Locate all underground utilities and assure they will not interfere with the edging installation. Layout border line of edging with string or other means to assure border straightness and curves as designed. Dig trench 4 1/2” deep.
  2. Rotate alternating edging pieces and slide pieces together using top and bottom “C” channels. Align end stake holes for connection locking stake. Set edging into trench with top at 1/2” above compacted finish grade on turf side.
  3. Drive stakes through pre-punched stake holes in edging. Requires 5 stakes evenly spaced for each 20 feet section. Be sure to drive stake through overlapped end stake holes to ensure a permanently locked connection.
  4. Backfill both sides of edging, confirm that sections are securely held together, and compact backfill material along edging to provide top of edging at 1/2 inch above yard finish grade. Cleanup and remove excess materials from site.
