ASPHALTEDGE
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
AGGREGATE
BASE
After
bringing aggregate to proper compaction and grade, anchor AsphaltEdge
in place using 3/8 x 10(9.5mm x 25.4cm) spiral steel
spikes 12 (30.5cm) on center (typical), 4 on center
minimum. Be certain to anchor the beginning and ending of each section.
Connections between sections are made using a 4 (102mm) sliding
connector, leaving a 3/8 space between sections for expansion.
Sections are easily cut using a hacksaw. Corners are formed by cutting
the base and forming the desired angle.
ASPHALT
OVERLAY
Place
AsphaltEdge on level asphalt, typically 2 (51mm)
minimum from edge of existing asphalt. Asphalt must be sufficient
in depth and solid enough for anchoring. Anchor AsphaltEdge using
3/16 x 1-1/2(4.8mm x 38mm) or longer concrete nails
or screws 12(30.5cm) on center (typical) or 4 on center
minimum. Connections between sections are made using a 4 (102mm)
sliding connector, leaving a 3/8 space between sections for
expansion. Sections are easily cut using a hacksaw. Corners are
formed by cutting the base and forming the desired angle.
