ASPHALTEDGE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

AGGREGATE BASE

After bringing aggregate to proper compaction and grade, anchor AsphaltEdge in place using 3/8” x 10”(9.5mm x 25.4cm) spiral steel spikes 12” (30.5cm) on center (typical), 4” on center minimum. Be certain to anchor the beginning and ending of each section. Connections between sections are made using a 4” (102mm) sliding connector, leaving a 3/8” space between sections for expansion. Sections are easily cut using a hacksaw. Corners are formed by cutting the base and forming the desired angle.

ASPHALT OVERLAY

Place AsphaltEdge on “level” asphalt, typically 2” (51mm) minimum from edge of existing asphalt. Asphalt must be sufficient in depth and solid enough for anchoring. Anchor AsphaltEdge using 3/16” x 1-1/2”(4.8mm x 38mm) or longer concrete nails or screws 12”(30.5cm) on center (typical) or 4” on center minimum. Connections between sections are made using a 4” (102mm) sliding connector, leaving a 3/8” space between sections for expansion. Sections are easily cut using a hacksaw. Corners are formed by cutting the base and forming the desired angle.
